Meet the Artist

Marisol Bonet received her formal training at Paier College of Art in Connecticut and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she was shaped by the energy of the city’s architecture and the immersive collections at institutions like The Metropolitan Museum of Art. There, she encountered classical European art and architectural design that deepened her reverence for beauty, craftsmanship, and meaning in visual storytelling.

Her work is known for its layered symbolism, spiritual themes, and a sense of timelessness that invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and look beyond the surface. Drawing from both classical influence and prayerful revelation, she creates paintings that explore the human physical and spiritual experience through the lens of the Divine—works that ask questions, carry hidden meaning, and evoke a sense of wonder and mystery.

Over the years, Marisol has founded and led several creative businesses, including a studio in Norfolk, VA where she offered private instruction, creative events, and painting lessons for both youth and adults. She has taught in schools and worked with a wide range of students, including those with special needs.

She is currently deepening her studio practice in North Carolina and moving toward creating immersive learning experiences and retreat spaces—both for emerging artists and for those seeking rest, reflection, and renewal through a blend of ministry and the creative process.
