Commissions Are An Experience.
Partnering with someone for a commission piece is a great honor and a deeply intentional process.
I pour myself into capturing the fullness of imagery and sentiment to create a one-of-a-kind painting that is not only inspired and life-giving but also crafted to celebrate, honor, or preserve a meaningful moment, place, or person. Each commission begins with your story and becomes a lasting heirloom—whether for anniversaries, weddings, memorials, adoptions, or other milestones.
The experience itself is just as important as the painting; for some, we celebrate completion with a formal unveiling, reading the message and meaning behind the piece—moments that are often very moving. We’ve even done surprise and memorial presentations, both virtually and in person, to honor loved ones.
The Commission Look Book offers a glimpse into the imaginative and heartfelt ways others have used custom artwork to mark life’s milestones. Let it inspire your own ideas and possibilities. Explore the Look Book or connect with me here to begin your custom project—I’d be honored to collaborate with you.

INSPIRATION
Feel free to share your thoughts and inspiration for your special piece. Whether it is a certain photo, memory, or scripture verse. I also would appreciate you sharing what particular paintings I have done that really drew your attention. Consider any photographs, landscapes or locations you would like me to work from. If you have a general idea but would like to discuss development of an image - please note this on the form. I will review your request to determine if the project is a good fit and follow up with an email to confirm whether your project request has been accepted.
For portraits, formal photographs are a good source, but I would also encourage you to consider more candid photos as well. Some of the best images can convey a special moment - the way the eyes sparkle when laughing or a particular familiar look that everyone would recognize. Also consider how much contrast your image has. The more lights/darks, usually the better.
DEVELOPMENT
If accepted, we will schedule a call to discuss your vision and create an initial plan. I will follow up with a digital sketch for your review and approval (up to 2 edits are allowed). Once I have your approval, I will proceed with painting. I enjoy documenting my process and will share these photos with you along the way. Please allow up to 4-6 weeks for completion. If requiring a faster turnaround time, I may be able to accommodate you for an additional fee.
PRICING
I ask for a 50% deposit to begin, with the remaining balance, plus shipping, due once your painting is complete. I accept PayPal, Square, personal check, or money orders. Once final payment is received, the painting can be picked up at the studio or, if needed, shipped to the location of your choice.
